Preparations & dosage: Infusion: 1-1-1/2 tsp dried plant steeped in 1 cup water about 10 minutes. Tincture: 1-2 ml 3x/day. Food.

Foundational: Demulcent
Primary: Emollient. Expectorant.

Secondary: Nutritive.

Uses: 

For the Lungs: Lung diseases that are associated with dryness such as tuberculosis, bronchitis and asthma. Useful for many dry chronic respiratory problems.

Enlarged glands of the thyroid, lymphatic or prostate. 

Sores and ulcers both internally for gastric ulcers and externally. 

Great strengthener and mineral source for children and the elderly. 

Dried inflamed skin or mucous membranes. 
Used in skin care products as a skin softener.
